The new Anam Danu single – ‘Perfect‘ – has been released today and is available on all major streaming and download sites.

January 27th sees the release of the exciting new Anam Danu single – ‘Perfect’ – which will be available from that date on all major streaming and download sites.

Regarding the song, Siobhan writes:

“There is great beauty and strength in our unique imperfections. We try to do our best to appreciate and accept the beauty and transience in what is imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. In this “ever changing world in which we live in” we all experience pain, loss and change. These experiences hopefully deepen our wisdom and compassion to accept and appreciate our scars for what they are: evidence of our courage, vulnerability, and our personal journey of healing and growth. May we offer ourselves and others more love, acceptance and kindness.“

‘Perfect‘ is Anam Danu’s first single release since the 2022 album – “Soul Making“.

We were greatly saddened to hear over the weekend of the passing of Troy Cook. Troy was a creative force who was a writer, artist and musician living and working in Fernie, BC.

Earlier this year, in spite of his illness, Troy agreed to create the artwork for our recent album – ‘Soul Making‘ – generously refusing to accept any payment for his work – saying: “I like to promote original music and this is my way of helping other musicians”.

Troy was a long standing friend of Siobhan’s husband, Andy, having known him for 37 years. He was much loved by Siobhan and Andy’s family.

In this video clip Troy explains how his art helped him to deal with his illness.

Our sympathies and thoughts are with Troy’s wife – Debra Brygadyr.

Anam Danu are proud to have had ‘Chasing the Wind Moon‘ from their current album – ‘Soul Making‘ – included on ‘Lamont Blue‘ – a compilation album from Aldora Britain Records.

Aldora Britain Records is the brainchild of Scot Tom Hilton. He writes:

It has been a while now since we reported that Anam Danu was working on a new collection of material.  We are delighted to announce that our third album, ‘Soul Making’, will be released shortly.  This new collection comprises 10 brand new songs that have been written and recorded over the past year and half.  We are now entering the final stages of the release process, and you will soon be able to find ‘Soul Making’ on any of these sites:
